Unidentified arms
We seek help for the identification of two unknown arms in our copy of Pomponio Mela, De chorographia. Venice : Bernhard Maler (Pictor), Erhard Ratdolt and Peter Loslein,1478. (Inc.4.B.3.23a[1454]; Oates, 1744).The arms have been painted by hand in the bas-de-page of the decorated woodcut border of leaf a1 recto.
The incunable came to Cambridge University Library from the collection of John Moore, bishop of Ely, and was presented to the library by King George I in 1715.
